The trumpeter in this set is provided with a cloth shabraque, which I believe is incorrect. So, I gave the trumpeter a trooper’s sheepskin shabraque and have the cloth one for another figure which I converted from a trooper into a Sous-Lieutenant of the French 3rd Lancer. Here is the resulting figure of the Sous-Lieutenant. I ground off the shabraque that was molded on the horse with a rotary tool and cut off the crossbelt and sling for the musketoon on the figure with an xacto knife. Then, I used foil and wax paper to create the left epaulette and painted the turban on the helmet and the pommel and seat cover of the cloth shabraque leopard skin. Also, I cut off the locating pin and the sabre guard to create the scabbard and reposition it so that the sword slings would look more realistic. This has been fun.
